Enlighten Your Research 3 competition

After two successful editions of the Enlighten Your Research, SURFnet, in partnership with SARA, BiG Grid and NWO have organized the Enlighten Your Research 3 competition in 2011. The competition was open for researchers who want to take their research infrastructure to the next level. Winners receive free use of an e-Infrastructure, which include dynamic lightpaths through the SURFnet network, large data storage and computing time.

Being one of the partners of the competition, SURFsara helped to provide storage and computing power in association with BiG Grid and NWO. SURFnet provides the network infrastructure.

In 2011 there was also an additional sustainability prize for the most energy-efficient proposal.
