SAS

SAS, a package to perform statistical analysis, is available on Lisa.

Usage

  • SAS is available with the command:
    module load sas
  • Example, a job: sas reading from standard input, not using X11, logfile to standard error:
#PBS -lnodes=1 -lwalltime=5:00 -larch=x86_64 module load sas cd $HOME sas -nodms - <<eof Data;
input x y z @@;
cards;
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
;
run;
eof
  • Example, a job: sas reading from ''inputdata'', not using X11, logfile to ''inputdata.log'':
#PBS -lnodes=1 -lwalltime=5:00 -larch=x86_64 module load sas cd $HOME

# create the file inputdata. In practice, you will omit this step,
# because this file would already have been made cat <<eof > inputdata Data;
input x y z @@;
cards;
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
;
run;
eof
# end creation of inputdata

sas -nodms -sysin inputdata
  • Notes:
  • We made the flag ''-filelocks none'' default. On the lisa system, sas will in most cases not run without this setting.
  • ''-nodms'' is for disabling X11, necessary in a job.
